Is so true.

I was randomly looking at Titanic on IMDb.com… and this is soo true of people who just love to pass criticism on as many things as possible:

As with most things in life, people always force their own opinions to be different so they can feel good about themselves….

….Unfortunately, people love to comment negatively about something good, because they are unable to think for themselves and have a need to be accepted in their ‘clique’….

Kudos go to whoever wrote that as a movie review. It can be applied to so many things.

While opinions are great, some people really do just lay it on thick because they are somewhat in the mindset that they *have* to be negative like that. If the large majority of people are leaning in one direction they assume they must do too… possibly in fear that their real opinion is so contrasted they’ll be ridiculed for it.

I love how opinionated I am. You won’t see me agreeing with things/saying crap for the sake of it :P

In other news, I started another vector :D I saw this really gorgeous photo of Neve Campbell, and her dress is so creased and cool looking I had to vector it. I have no idea how I am going to do the hair because it’s nutsy… here it is thus far:

Roughly how long has it taken you to get to the stage you are at with the vector? It looks like it must take freaking ages to get the gradients like that! (the gradients in the thumbnail of the image look totally smooth too)

About an hour.. Ben distracted me with something for the support board :p
They’re not gradients. Just lots and lots of layers at low opacity on multiply/screen. I cheat a little :D

I should have said “gradient effect”, because that is essentially what the large number of layers create.

That would have taken me way longer than an hour :p I really enjoy making vectors I just don’t have the patience for them!!!
